Thomas Pereira is the Chief Financial Officer at Dubai International Capital.

He brings over 20 years of senior financial management experience to the table, mainly with global banking institutions.

Prior to joining DIC, Thomas was the Chief Financial Officer of Dunia Finance LLC, a joint venture finance company whose main shareholders include Fullerton Financial Holdings (wholly owned subsidiary of Temasek Holdings) and Mubadala Development Company PJSC. He was a member of the founding team of Dunia Finance LLC, established in 2008, and was the firm’s first Chief Financial Officer.

Thomas spent a total of 21 years with HSBC in the Middle East where he held various positions culminating in his appointment as Chief Financial Officer of HSBC Bank Middle East Ltd from 2002 to 2007. During his tenure with HSBC, Thomas was seconded to Saudi British Bank, based in Riyadh, where he was the Chief Financial Officer.

A Chartered Accountant by profession, Thomas completed his article-ship with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in India after which he joined Ernst & Young in Abu Dhabi.

Thomas qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1983 and as an Information Systems Auditor from the U.S in 1990. He holds a Bachelors in Commerce and Economics from Sydenham College, Bombay.
