In November 2007, Dubai International Capital Private Equity acquired Alliance Medical for £600 million. Founded in 1989, Alliance Medical is Europe’s leading provider of outsourced diagnostic imaging services (including MRI, CT and PET), operating over 190 scanners for both the private and public healthcare sectors.
In the past six years, Alliance Medical has successfully consolidated its UK market position as well as expanded into Continental Europe through 16 acquisitions, most notably in Ireland, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain. Dubai International Capital Private Equity plans to compliment its existing growth strategy by providing access to new markets, such as the Middle East and the broader Asian region.
