Dubai International Capital Emerging Markets along with HSBC Bank Middle East Limited (‘HSBC’) and Oasis International Leasing PJSC (‘Oasis’) in Abu Dhabi, have established the MENA Infrastructure Fund LP (‘MENA IF’), a US$500 million fund targeting investment opportunities in infrastructure projects in the Middle East and North Africa.
Dubai International Capital Emerging Markets will play a key role in managing the investments made by the MENA IF as part of the General Partnership. This fund demonstrates Dubai International Capital Emerging Markets’ ability to work with other key partners in the region to source infrastructure projects through their extensive network of contacts. Each of its sponsors brings its leading expertise to the table:
- Dubai International Capital - a leading UAE based international private equity firm
- HSBC - a major global bank with a long established presence across MENA and with a number one project finance ranking in MENA
- Oasis - a world-class leasing company providing effective financing solutions to international clients across a range of industries
Greenfield infrastructure development projects in various sectors will be targeted by the Fund including utilities, energy, transportation, ports, education, healthcare, petrochemicals and public private partnerships. The MENA IF has a long investment horizon to accommodate the cash flow profile of infrastructure and energy projects and acts as a strategic financial partner to co-sponsors, developers and operators of assets, investing broadly in both greenfield and brownfield projects and acquisitions.
