Dubai International Capital Emerging Markets

Dubai International Capital Emerging Markets’ investment portfolio comprises assets in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America. Dubai International Capital Emerging Markets will consider investments across a wide range of asset classes including traditional buyouts, investments in listed equities, in addition to participating in and promoting Joint Ventures in addition to establishing single-country and sector-specific funds. Dubai International Capital Emerging Markets aims to have Assets under Management of over US$5 billion within the next two to three years.

This division led the establishment of Ishraq, a US$150 million hospitality company that has introduced the Express by Holiday Inn brand of hotels to the Gulf Co-operation Council countries; it is one of six cornerstone investors in Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (‘DAE’), a US$15 billion global aerospace conglomerate;  it has established a country-specific fund in Jordan called Jordan Dubai Capital, a US$300 million investment company that targets development capital and private equity opportunities in Jordan; and it has established the MENA Infrastructure Fund (‘MENA IF’), a US$500 million sector-specific fund targeting investment opportunities in infrastructure projects in the MENA region.
