Alykhan Nathoo is Chief Executive Officer of the Emerging Markets division at Dubai International Capital (‘DIC’). He is responsible for spearheading direct investments in emerging markets and managing the growth plans of the existing Emerging Markets portfolio.
Alykhan joined DIC from Bain Capital in London, where he has been for the last nine years. He was a founding member of Bain Capital Europe responsible for helping to lead the firm’s European entry strategy and development, including fundraising, team development, training and leading deal sourcing and execution. Most recently he led the acquisition of, and is on the board of Ideal Standard, a transaction with an enterprise value of $1.7 billion, requiring an equity commitment of $400 million. He started his career at Bain & Company in San Francisco in 1994 in the Private Equity Practice.
Alykhan holds a BA degree in Quantitative Economics with Distinction from Stanford University. In 1997, he was a Baker scholar at Harvard Business School, receiving an MBA in 1999.
Alykhan spent eighteen years growing up in Africa and is of Indian descent.
