Dubai International Capital alerts users of this site of a fraudulent investment scam.
Dubai International Capital (‘DIC’) has received reports of unauthorized persons using the company’s and employee’s names to undertake fraudulent activity. Individuals claiming to represent DIC have attempted to lure potential victims into disclosing confidential information and have attempted to promote funding for fictitious investments. Please note that this ongoing scam is being perpetrated by people who have nothing to do with DIC and these incidents are being actively investigated by security and law enforcement authorities. These frauds may be transmitted on counterfeit DIC letterhead, via email addresses appearing to be legitimate and utilizing DIC’s branding. DIC strongly advises that you do not respond to such e-mails.

Dubai International Capital (‘DIC’), the private equity arm of Dubai Holding, would like to alert the business community with the following statement regarding fraudulent website scams. Dubai, 4 August 2015 – Dubai International Capital (‘DIC’), the private equity arm of Dubai Holding, would like to alert the business community to the fact that the contents of its websitewww.dubaiic.comand bogus email addresses incorporating the names of employees have and continue to be used by unauthorized people to undertake fraudulent activity. These fraudsters seek to lure potential victims primarily via email solicitations into disclosing confidential information and then conning these victims into making “processing” payments or paying bogus fees, resulting in financial loss. DIC’s website has been copied and used under a false name to promote funding for fictitious investments. The latest example being http://www.dubaiic.co which has copied DIC’s website content and design. Other examples being Dubai International Financial Capital http://www.dubaific.com/about-dfic.html which has also copied DIC’s website and Montgomery Roth International http://montgomeryrothinternational.com which has used the names of DIC executives to suggest that it has a Dubai based team. In addition, fraudulent emails have been transmitted by individuals using counterfeit DIC letterhead, via email addresses appearing to be legitimate, utilizing DIC’s branding and also through messages from fraudulent accounts on LinkedIn using fake profiles for DIC Team and associate them to fictitious investment companies . These on-going scams are being perpetrated by people who have nothing to do with DIC and these incidents are being actively investigated by security and law enforcement authorities. DIC requests its stakeholders and the wider business community to be vigilant and inform the Company if they are subject to such scams.
