Victor Chu is Founder and Chairman of First Eastern Investment Group, First Eastern Investment Bank Limited and FE Securities Limited.

Mr. Chu has a wealth of experience in China and regional investments. He is a pioneer in developing private equity investments in China, and has played an important historical role in bringing Chinese companies onto the Hong Kong stock market.

Mr. Chu currently serves on the Foundation Board of the World Economic Forum and co-chairs the Forum’s International Business Council. He is also an Executive Board Member of the Paris-based International Chamber of Commerce and chairs the ICC Commission on Financial Services and Insurance.

Born in China, Mr. Chu studied Law at University College London where he now serves on its Governing Council. Over the last 20 years, he has served at various times as Director and Council Member of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Advisory Committee Member of the Securities & Futures Commission of Hong Kong, Member of the Hong Kong Takeovers & Mergers Panel and a part-time Member of the Hong Kong Government’s Central Policy Unit.
